Trusted Alert Centre is now live in Is Everything Safe.

It gives households one place to follow trusted public alerts without creating noise or requiring background tracking.

What it includes

• Met Office weather warnings (including Yellow, Amber and Red filtering)
• Environment Agency flood alerts and warnings
• Natural Resources Wales flood feeds
• SEPA flood area catalogue coverage for Scotland
• FCDO travel advice channels
• UK water company storm overflow/live spill feeds

Why this is different

• **Opt-in only**: You subscribe to the exact targets and channels you want.
• **Location-first setup**: Use address/postcode/current location and 5/10/20km ranges.
• **One active alert per target**: Keeps inbox signal clean.
• **Cross-device state**: Read/unread and dismiss state persists per user.
• **Structured responses where enabled**: Selected alert campaigns can ask recipients to share their status, optional written context and, with permission, their location.

What it is not

• Not an emergency dispatch replacement service.
• Not background geofence entry/exit tracking.
• Not an open chat or general-purpose two-way messaging service.

How alerts behave

• If source content changes, the active alert is replaced and archived so you see the latest message.
• If a source clears an alert, it is cleared in-app.
• You can dismiss alerts from your own inbox without unsubscribing.
• Where an authorised response campaign is active, the alert can offer structured response options such as confirming that you are safe, need help, are leaving or have left the affected area. The campaign may also allow optional text and location sharing. Other provider alerts remain information-only.
